Do you like to leave little notes in your kids' lunchboxes? I do. I even sneak them into the lunches of my big kids sometimes.
This year I decided to try something a bit different.
I painted the lids of little containers with chalkboard paint.
That way, when I'm packing lunches for the little guys, I can scribble a quick note to them. {I'll probably use chalk pens instead of regular chalk to give it a little staying power.}
I painted the lids of some small plastic containers as well.
And I even painted a little swoosh inside their lunch bags.
The twins got a sneak peek and they love them.
Now if someone would just make their lunches every day.

I love it! I'm going to do the same thing! Thanks for the idea!

ReplyDeleteI love this idea!!! Can you still run the sandwich boxes through the dishwasher with the chalkboard paint on them?
ReplyDeleteSarah, you can. I'm sure it's not recommended but I've done it with other dishes many times. I have one cup that's been going through the dishwasher for at least ten years and the paint is still intact! If it does start to peel off, I'll just repaint it.
