Heart Bombing for Valentine's Day #SheepishHeartBomb

I've been completely smitten with the idea of yarnbombing and can't wait to do it so when I heard about this heart bombing project, I was in!  It seemed like the perfect precursor to the real deal yarnbombing.

I cut out piles of felted hearts, attached ribbon hangers ...

... and used washi tape to attach little notes with a simple phrase and the project hashtag {#SheepishHeartBomb}.

The kids and I went out yesterday and left our little heart bombs all over our area.  We left them on a car antenna ...

... on fence posts and trees ...

... on mailboxes, signs, and fire hydrants ...

... and even on the nozzle of the gas pump!  {This felted heart was found and tweeted about along with a photo ... that made our day!}

It was so fun leaving little hearts around town and I can't wait to do it again.  In the meantime, I'll be checking twitter and instagram regularly to see if any more of our hearts are found!
