McKinney Trade Days :: McKinney, Texas

If you've been around here for a while, you know that I absolutely love my yearly Canton trip.

This past weekend, I met a couple of friends at McKinney Trade Days.  It was my first visit and it was really great.  Much like a mini Canton with a lot of the same vendors.  They didn't have the intense junk area that I love so much in Canton but it was much closer and we were able to see every booth in just a few hours.

The weather was beautiful.  It was the perfect day to wander around and look for treasures.

We saw a number of torn lampshades and I loved them.  I'll be hitting my local thrift store soon to find some old junky shades.

There were also some great makeovers.  This painted chandelier was a favorite.

One of my favorite Canton vendors, Door Knob Bob, was there with his piles of rusty hinges, key plates, and drawer pulls.

I also found some new vendors that I love and I wanted to share them with you {the following pictures below are random and not related to the vendors}.  One such vendor: The Rusted Chandelier.  They had some neat ink transfer pieces ... I loved the ink transfer on a painted brick!

Missy MadeWell was truly one of my favorites, not only because of her brilliant hanging towels {these would make a great gift} but also because she just had such a fun personality.  The fabrics she uses are fantastic.  You really have to check out her site.  And guess what?  Missy is offering my readers free shipping until 10/26!  Just use code TDAYS10.  Now you have no excuse not to stock up {and I'm telling you, these towels would make the best teacher gift!}.

I also loved Sister Salvage.  I would have come home with the theater seats at their booth if I had any place to put them ... and if my sweet husband wouldn't have objected {smile}.

I was really impressed with McKinney Trade Days.  It was a great afternoon filled with my favorites: fun friends and rusty, vintage-y goodness.
