Smarties Pumpkin Push Pops

I've been planning a little pumpkin-themed Halloween party for Tate's playgroup and I came up with these pumpkin push pops as a party favor for the kids to take home.  They turned out really cute and they're simple and quick to make.

To make them you'll need push pop containers {these can be found online}, orange scrapbook paper {I used a variety of patterned paper}, twine and ribbon, and vinyl for the pumpkin face.  I used my Silhouette to cut the pumpkin face but you could also use black stickers {or even black paper glued on} instead of vinyl.

Cut the paper the length of the inside of the push pop, then loosely roll it and slide it into the container.  It'll mold itself around the inside.

Tie the twine and ribbon around the top {right under the lid}.  I tied it in a knot and left the ends sticking out to add some texture and dimensionality.

Stick the face on ...

... and fill it up with goodies.  I filled our treats with Smarties.  They're a worry-free treat: they're inexpensive, gluten free, vegan, low calorie, and free of the top allergens.  {And you can find them anywhere: Walmart, Dollar General, Family Dollar, Dollar Tree, and Target.}  I also love that they're not hard and sticky {meaning they won't stick in my kids' teeth the same way other Halloween candy does} and my little one never chokes on them.

That's it!  Snap the lid on and you've got a Halloween treat for partygoers!
