Cowboy Party Favors :: Stick Ponies

Years ago, when Luke and Lila turned two, they had a Cowboy/Cowgirl party.  You can see a general collage and post about that party here {forgive the scarce details ... those were early blogging days} but I wanted to share one of the easy DIY favors from that party.

These whimsical stick ponies {in the stick pony corral} were one of the activities at the party {the kids could ride them around} and also a take-home favor.

Each stick pony head was made from a sock stuffed with polyfill and tied with yarn to a thick dowel. Teddy bear eyes {found at any craft store}, a felt nose, and a yarn mane finished the pony {the manes and noses were just glued on}.

These stick ponies are silly and whimsical {and so simple to make} but a fun favor for little cowboys and cowgirls.
