I'm giving this post a subtitle: How I Met Tip Junkie {smile}.
I attended my first blog conference this weekend. Bloggy Boot Camp Dallas {with those awesome SITS Girls} was such a neat networking time and full of incredible information. It was a full day of indepth teaching and every bit of it was helpful. So helpful that I came home with ten pages of notes!
Laurie Turk, Tip Junkie, was one of the conference speakers, and I hung on every word. She had excellent business and blogging tips but she's also just super nice. I was so happy to have the chance to meet her.
We did have a bit of fun too. Kroger and King's Hawaiian sponsored the event and hosted parties on Friday night. Among a delicious gourmet cheese, wine, and champagne selection, they also served wine snowcones. I'm putting that on my entertaining list for summer. {King's Hawaiian served a bread pudding made with their rolls ... it was amazing and I'm planning on sharing it here soon.}
The sponsors provided some fun swag bags for the conference attendees and this sticker was on them. Cute, huh?
Have you ever been to a blog conference? I'm thinking of hitting some others next year and I'd love to hear your experiences.

I was there too! I had no idea you were a texas blogger! :( Wish we could have met!
