I have to share what Kennedy made Tate for her birthday. It turned out so cute!
You've probably seen this pin from At West End. Kennedy and I both loved these little felt piggy banks and Kenn knew Tate would love it as well. And she does ... I think it's gone to bed with her every night!
To make the piggy bank, Kennedy found a pig template online and I made a few alterations to make it look more like the original.
We made a buttonhole in the middle of a piece of felt {making sure it was big enough to fit a quarter} and pinned the paper template over two pieces of felt, lining them up so the buttonhole was in the center of the pig's back.
Kennedy sewed directly over the pig outline on the paper and through the felt. Once it was sewn, we carefully peeled the paper away and trimmed close to the stitch line.

Cute gift. Kennedy did a great job. It looks like it was a professional job.
