Tate's Birthday Dress

My little surprise baby is turning three next month.

We're planning a dolly party and I'm busy doing what I love ... planning, pondering, and working on birthday projects.

The birthday dress is finished.  Does it look a lot like last year's dress?  I love this simple pattern.

I had already settled on a dolly party {dolls are Tate's big love} but this fabric was the inspiration for the colors.  I absolutely love this fabric.  It's Michael Miller Children at Play by Sarah Jane.

I used Dolls {in cream} for the main dress ...

... and Pinwheels {in pink} for a hem band.  Don't worry, the dress will get a good ironing before the big day {wink}.

And a girl has to accessorize, right?  This shabby flower hair clip will tame Tate's locks.  We hope.

I'll share a few more fun details of this party over the next couple of weeks.
