Luke and Lila {my twins} are heading into first grade and this year, rather than just having a dress code, they'll actually have to wear uniforms. Their shirts have to be ordered through a specific company but they can wear any French Toast brand bottoms.
The one thing I don't like about uniforms is that they can be so expensive. I did a bunch of online searching and finally ordered their uniform bottoms through Cookie's Kids. Not only did they have a really good selection but their prices were lower than other online shops I found with the same line of products. Score!
{Have you shopped at Cookie's before? They're celebrating their 40th year of business this year. The business was originally started by two brothers, Cookie and Marvin, in Jamaica, Queens. They started out selling toys, transitioned to kids clothes, and then started selling school uniforms as well. I love hearing that a family business has succeeded!}
While I was browsing the Cookie's Kids website, I made a Polyvore board of some of the items I was considering for Luke and Lila. My kids are a bit unsure about the whole uniform thing so I tried to stick with things that I knew would fit in with my kids' style.

The kids were excited when the clothes arrived and agreed to do some modelling for me. {A note: I only ordered French Toast brand clothing but I found that it tended to fit on the smaller side for length. I ended up exchanging the pants for the next size up.}
What kids' fashions do you like? Do your kids wear school uniforms? Have you shopped at Cookie's for kids clothes before?

ReplyDeleteAww, love that last photo! Looks like you had a very successful shopping trip for school, without even leaving the house! A+!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe how big the twins are getting! Adorable.
ReplyDeleteMy kids wear uniforms too. We just changed suppliers last year and fortunately, the skorts are less expensive. The cost of uniforms is a bit crazy here. Our kids don't go back until Sept 4. I'm looking forward to the rest of the summer!
ReplyDeleteLove their clothes
