I'm a huge fan of World Market. The seasonal goods, the cultural decor, the gourmet food, the furniture ... so many great things all in one place. It's one of my favorite places to browse and shop and a place I go to regularly when I need a unique gift so when I was given the opportunity to shop at World Market and set a Santa Fe style tablescape, I jumped at it!
I wandered through the store, taking in all the cute displays and filling my cart with goodies. When I think of Santa Fe style, I think of a southwest style mixed with bright colors and World Market had lots of bright colored tableware to choose from.
I spent some time looking at the tablescapes set up in the store as well ... they offer great inspiration for design and decor.
I brought home lots of fun items and set up a poolside girl's night with friends. I love a party with an eclectic mix of small tables and chairs or cushions for seating. It encourages people to wander and mix it up a bit, especially if there's a central buffet for food. I set out to create that environment with my poolside soiree.
I placed a bright easel chalkboard on the table {with a message for the guests} ...
... and left a bottle of cold Italian soda for the guests to enjoy. World Market has a great selection of gourmet food and beverage items, all at really affordable prices. The Italian soda is a favorite of mine and leaving a different flavor on each table is also a great way to encourage guests to mingle.
I placed a simple appetizer at each place. In keeping with my Santa Fe theme, each guest was given an individual serving of tortilla chips {served in bright orange, mini colanders set on golden yellow salad plates} with a side of salsa.
I loved creating a bright Santa Fe tablescape.
World Market makes it so easy to plan a fun, themed evening with friends.
