Toasted Cinnamon Marshmallow Brownies

During a regular grocery trip the other day, I spotted cinnamon bun marshmallows {by Kraft}. Have you seen them yet?  I don't always love flavor twists on the classics but I thought these might be a fun topper for a dessert.

I baked a pan of brownies {with a mix ... after all, it's supposed to be a relaxing summer}, sprinkled chocolate chips on top, and then covered the brownies with a bag of cinnamon marshmallows.  I popped the pan under the broiler for a few minutes until the marshmallows were toasty and soft and then let them cool.

We ended up with plates full of rich, gooey goodness.  My big family had that pan polished off in no time!

What would you do with cinnamon marshmallows?

  1. Cinnamon marshmallows would be interesting in a cup of hot chocolate. A friend turned me on to the gingerbread marshmallows available during the holidays, and they add a twist to an average cup.

  2. No I am not only thirsty for a coffee drink, I am hungry for some chocolate!

  3. I would catch the entire pan on fire under my broiler :) They weren't cinnamon though, just regular ones. It is a new oven :) Yikes! I was able to peel that layer off and try again with success.
