I love to dress my kids in coordinating shirts for the 4th of July. I usually let the older kids just color coordinate now but the younger kids still get something fun.
This year they're wearing glow-in-the-dark shirts. Their stars will be glowing away while we're watching fireworks! That sure trumps a glow stick, doesn't it?
I used storebought shirts and, using my Silhouette, cut stars in various sizes. I cut them from glow-in-the-dark heat transfer that I bought through Pick Your Plum.
The shirts look really cute in the daytime but I can't wait until the kids wear them after dark. We did a little test run in a dark bathroom and the stars were glowing as bright as could be! I don't know any kid that doesn't love something that glows in the dark. My kids are really excited to wear their shirts!

If you like what you see, would you consider following me?

Very cute! I hope we get to see a picture when the stars are glowing. You are such a great mom. I'm moving in!
ReplyDeleteFun shirts! Some years we've done special shirts but not this year.
ReplyDeletevery cute shirts, where else can you get "glow in the dark heat transfer" since Pick Your Plum is a one day only item kind of site?
ReplyDeleteSue, I found it on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Iron-Glow-Dark-Heat-Transfer/dp/B0024JW76K. This product is probably fairly similar.
