A Canada Day Drink

Happy Canada Day!

Since I'm Canadian, I like to at least mention Canada Day in this house full of Americans.

This year we're celebrating the red and white with a red and white layered drink.

The kids were wowed by it which always makes a treat more fun!  I simply layered red Kool-Aid with Diet Sprite {the drink with the most sugar goes on the bottom}.

I love the layered drink idea.  Wouldn't this be cute at a birthday party, using the theme colors?

  1. I didn't know you were Canadian! Me too! It's so exciting when you find a fellow Canuck, because like you said, it usually is a room full of Americans! :) What part of Canada are you in?

    1. Sarah, I was born in Fernie, BC, but grew up in Alberta {mostly Calgary, with short stints in Edson and Edmonton} ... I left when I graduated from university and have been in the States since.

  2. Randi, thanks for coming over to Quirky Vistas and commenting on my Serving Under the Banner of Freedom post. So sweet of you! I'm glad you did, because that's how I found you. This drink is such a great idea. I'm sure the kids do love it. I bet it tastes great too. Sugar is always a kid pleaser. It always pleases me and I'm only a kid at heart these days.
