Did you know June is Dairy Month? And there's a really good reason to increase your dairy intake this month {ahem ... besides the health benefits}. Free movie tickets!
I can't think of a better promotion for summer!
We rarely go to the movies because I hate spending the money, especially with our big family. Earning free movie tickets by buying the same groceries that I always buy is awesome.
I took full advantage of this promotion. I grabbed my reward card and went to my local Tom Thumb {my Safeway affiliate} where I spent $40 in participating products. The participating products are super easy to find ... each one is marked with a label and a small Ice Age picture. I stocked up on cheese, Pillsbury products, yogurt, and even threw in a little Iced Coffee for myself {my guilty pleasure}.
When I checked out, the Catalina machine spit out a voucher to be redeemed for two free movie admissions. You don't have to spend the $40 all at once either. Your card will track your purchases throughout the month of June and give you the voucher once you hit the $40 mark. I'm hoping we might earn more free tickets this month so all the kiddos can have a movie day.
We had a family pizza night and used some of the products I bought in the promotion. The kids made personal pizzas using Pillsbury Pizza Crust. I cooked them for a few minutes first {for a crispier crust} then cut them into squares and let the kids go crazy decorating them.
The kids helped themselves from a platter of toppings ...
... and covered them up with lots and lots of cheese.
My kids love veggies but they eat even more when they get to "cook" themselves. They made faces and ladybugs and had lots of fun preparing their dinner.
We finished the meal with a fun but fairly healthy yogurt dessert, topped with some goodies. For more meal ideas, check out this site and the facebook page.

Pizza night at your house looks like a blast! I am loving Safeway's promotion and am already working on my second set of movie tickets. :)
