Flag Waffles {for the 4th of July}

With the 4th of July only a couple of weeks away, I have red, white, and blue on my mind.

Flag waffles would be a fun start to the 4th, wouldn't they?

I colored the waffle batter with some red food coloring {you could definitely be a little more heavy-handed but I kept it light for the kids} and cooked them up, then added blueberry and whip cream embellishments.

They were so simple that they'd be easy to serve to a crowd.  Or the kids could decorate their own flags.

Are you gearing up for the 4th?
