Homemade Kettle Corn

We've become a bit addicted to this new popcorn recipe and I had to share it here.  Homemade kettle corn made on the stove.  It's quick and easy to make and so delicious!  I still love our microwave version but this one tastes much more like the kettle corn you buy at the fair.

You'll need 1/2 cup of popcorn kernels, 1/4 cup of sugar, and 1/4 cup of oil.

Put 1/4 cup of oil in a large non-stick pot on medium high heat.  Add 3-4 kernels of popcorn.  When they pop, the oil is hot enough to add the rest of the popcorn.

Add the sugar, place the lid on the pot, and shake the pot back and forth to keep the sugar from burning.  Shake the pot until you hear the popping slow way down.

Sprinkle lightly with salt.

Enjoy!
