A Baseball Hoodie

The other day, a little guy ran by me wearing the cutest baseball hoodie and I instantly added "knock-off" to my to-do list.  Luke just started playing t-ball and I knew he'd love this stenciled baseball hoodie.

I started with a simple store-bought Old Navy hoodie and used freezer paper {and my Silhouette} to make a stencil.

If you haven't used freezer paper before, it's amazing stuff.  You can cut a stencil {using a Silhouette or a craft knife} and then iron the freezer paper onto a garment.  The edges seal down, making it perfect for stenciling, and then the freezer paper pulls right up. Everytime I use it I'm impressed all over again.  And it's cheap.

I lightly dabbed the fabric paint over the stencil and didn't worry about getting even color all over since I wanted a bit of a faded letter look.

I downloaded the baseball outline from the Silhouette site but you could probably find one online as well.

The hoodie turned out so cute and it was a really quick and fun project.  And the little redhead loves it! I have a feeling it'll be a staple of his wardrobe this spring.
