A Potty Training Giveaway from Earth's Best

I mentioned yesterday that today I'd have a little giveaway for all those potty training or soon-to-be potty training homes out there.

Earth's Best is giving one of my readers one package of Earth's Best Chlorine-Free Flushable Wipes and one package of Earth's Best Potty Training Pants.


Potty training can be one of the most dreaded parts of parenting but having the right supplies definitely makes it easier.  I was really happy with the Earth's Best Potty Training Pants.  Because they're dye free, chlorine free, latex free, and perfume free, they didn't bother Tate's sensitive skin.

But the thing that really made my life simpler?  The flushable wipes!  I've never used flushable wipes before and I'm now a convert.  Without being graphic, being able to wipe and flush is awesome.  Tate's little bottom was clean and I didn't have to worry about plugging up the toilet.

  8. In my family we have used "rewards" (stickers or a few M & M's).
    We make a big deal but also like it is normal too.

    I have a nephew who just turned 3 and he is sort of at the beginning of this stage. My sister (his mother) has a 6 month old who has special needs and she also just broke her arm last week so things are a little behind schedule.

  10. My tip is similar to Jenny's - wait until they show lots of interest and are ready. My last 2 have only taken 3 days to potty train becasue they were just ready to do it.

  11. I agree with waiting until they are ready. Makes life so much easier! We've tried all kinds of things, but the one with the most success was a sticker chart & a treasure chest.

  14. I read somewhere to use food coloring in the toilet; see what color your potty trainee can turn it! (blue + hopefully urine = green)

    I haven't tried it yet.

  17. My tip is, if the kid has zero interest & wants nothing to do with the potty, stop. Put the potty away & all related items for at least two weeks. Then before reintroducing read a potty book to your child for at least a week.

    After weeks of frustration I did this. My first was trained in about 2 days once we brought the potty back out.

  21. I need all the advice I can get! About to start training my 2nd!! This will be perfect. My best advice is keep it positive and fun -- even do a potty dance!

  24. My best tip is to wait until they are at least 2.5 years old (unless they want to train younger). Both of my older kids trained themselves around 32-33 months and there was little pressure or frustration because I waited until they were more ready.

  27. My best potty training tip,,,don't rush things! When your child is ready things will go smoothly, if not, you are setting yourself up for a disaster. Patience is the key!

  34. I have 3 boys, so pottyy training for me was kinda hard, so luckily my husband took the reins and trained!! Thank you hubby!!! But, I bought a tractor toilet so every time you went potty it would start an engine noise, and that got the boys excited!!

  35. What worked for my family was taking the kid's favorite stuffed animal and having him "poop." (The secret? Raisins!!) It took a few weeks, but finally my little brother wanted to "poop" just like his favorite little friend!
