Luke loved this Lego Man costume when he saw it but it seemed extremely complicated and expensive to make. I decided I could make it for less than ten dollars and I did.
I found a bowl at the dollar store, spray painted it yellow, then cut yellow poster board to size, cut the face out with a craft knife, and taped and glued {on the inside} the poster board around the edge of the bowl.
I cut yellow dish gloves off at the wrist and Luke wore those with a long sleeve red shirt.
The body of the costume was made from a cardboard box {found for less than a dollar at Home Depot}. I cut and added a few pieces to get the shape I wanted and then covered it with red duct tape.

Lego-loving Luke thought his costume was awesome and so did others ... he won first place in his age category at our neighborhood fall festival.

That is awesome! I am definitely using this for Victor this year. Both Tate and Luke deserved a prize.
