I'm happy that my project was so popular in the SYTYC competition! It's a whole lot more fun being near the top than being near the bottom. Want to make one too? Here's how I did it.
This project was a bit finicky but fun to put together. I used a downloadable Silhouette image of a bike. This image was perfect because the pieces were all separate, meaning I could enlarge it to the desired size and then attach the vinyl pieces together on the wall. It allowed me to make the bike fairly large.
I recycled an old basket I had and cut the handles off it ...
... then sewed a liner. The liner was hemmed and I folded it over the top of the basket, right side out.
The flowers {a la Pottery Barn} were just a fun touch at the end.
The bike looks so cute in Kennedy's room and really fills a nice space on the wall.

I love this Randi. I think this is my favorite by far.

ReplyDeleteThis is awesome! Could you please tell us from where you downloaded the byke image?
ReplyDeleteThanks Regina ... the bike image is from the Silhouette website. It's one of their downloadable images.
