I'd like to say that my progress in the Knit-Along is amazing, but no. I'm trudging along but haven't knit nearly as much as I had hoped ... on this project, anyway. Other projects have taken precedence. I think the next few evenings will be spent on the couch, needles in hand, making some good headway on the cardigan.
While on vacation I was frantically trying to knit a monster as a birthday gift. Since the birthday party begins in forty-five minutes and this is as far as I've gotten, we're bringing a different gift. Monsters take a lot longer to knit than one would think.
My mom and I took a little knitting store field trip while I was in Colorado and bought some beautiful yarn that will knit up into unique scarves. Standing in a yarn store, touching yarn and eyeing the different colors and textures might be one of my favorite things. So much so that I briefly considered opening my own yarn store. The state of the economy brought me to my senses. {If you live in the Denver area, swing by Colorful Yarns ... it's a delightful shop.}
I'm also teaching another kids' knitting camp this week and it's been so great to see these girls learn so quickly. I love passing the art of knitting on to the next generation.
What about you? Any fun projects on the needles?
