With hope that we'll get some snow like we did last winter (and that Tate will actually want to play in it), I knit some baby mitts for the little one. Thumbless baby mitts, which are really just a sanity saver for the person putting them on.
I used this pattern from Spud & Chloe and added a crocheted chain to attach the mitts together. Lost mitts are no fun (and I love seeing little mitts dangling from a coat sleeve ... it takes me back to childhood).

Oh how cute! You sure have been busy!
ReplyDeleteCute. When you go visit your parents she can wear them.
ReplyDeleteVisiting you from Simply Designing's link party. Love the mittens! They look like they are the same color Spud & Cloe that I am using for the baby socks I'm working on. You should check out the free pattern that I'm using (on my Friday blog post). I always follow the people who knit, so I'm your newest follower.

I saw the photo on "Sawdust and Paper Scraps" and had to visit your blog. I had similar mittens for my eldest son and just couldn't give them away after they didn't fit anymore so... they hang each year on my Christmas tree. I tied a big bow with the crocheted chain that joins them and just put it over a branch. My son is now 23 and I just smile each year when I pull those little mitts out of the Christmas decoration box.
