Table for Eight

After living for almost four years with a kitchen table that we had completely outgrown, we now have a table that can seat our entire family plus one. And the best part? We built it ourselves. We followed plans for the Modern Farm Table from Knock Off Wood but made the square version, altered by Grasshoppers and Butterflies. It's the first building project we've ever done. It was a huge learning experience but we really enjoyed it and can't wait to tackle the next project. I love the look of the new table with our old chairs plus a few new mismatched ones (that will be painted - but still mismatched - at some point). Can't wait to sit down for the inaugural meal tonight!
