A Hot Cocoa Party

Update: You can watch a video demo here to see how to make these snowmen!

The day arrived with a cold, wintry forecast ... perfect for a Hot Cocoa Party with friends. I put out bowls of mini muffins and oranges, made a big pot of Colorado Cocoa, and laid out self-serve toppings for the cocoa: marshmallow snowmen, whip cream, vanilla sipping straws, crushed peppermint candies, and snowflake-shaped marshmallows.

The kids got all sugared up and spent the morning playing and having fun while I visited with a friend and broke up toddler fights. A morning well spent.

    1. The marshmallows are stuck onto a skewer. The hats are Hershey's Kisses. The faces are made with food coloring dabbed on with a toothpick, and the scarves are fruit roll-ups.

  13. The scarves look like fruit rollups. Not sure what she used for the snowman's buttons.
