To jazz up bath time a bit, tonight I made bath paint for Luke and Lila. They had great fun painting the sides of the tub, and unlike store-bought bath paints we've used, these ones washed away easily when bath time was over.
The recipe is from The Everything Toddler Activities Book. To mix the paint colors, stir together 1 tablespoon cornstarch, 2 tablespoons liquid soap, and a few drops of food coloring for each color.
Warning: emptying all of the paints into the bathtub may lead to eye irritation ... the toddlers learned that the hard way. Substitute the liquid soap with tear free shampoo for a more harmless option.

What fun! Maybe I'll try that with J-man when he gets home.
